DESCRIPTION:Welcome to our book club\, where we discover what makes a fulfi
 lling and impactful career one chapter at a time. Whether you are a studen
 t or trainee just figuring yourself out\, or a professional looking for so
 mething more meaningful\, let’s think out loud together about our future
  plans! 80\,000 hours is the time you’ll spend working during a typical 
 full-time career\, so we’d better put them to good use. :)\n\nThe book i
 s in English\; we can speak English or German depending on who attends. Yo
 u can buy your own copy or listen to the free audiobook. Each chapter cont
 ains some questions and exercises to help you put the advice into practice
 . Together\, we will discuss how we could apply it to our own lives\, and 
 try to give each other advice when needed. Each meeting only requires havi
 ng read the one chapter we’re discussing – so feel free to join in any
 time!\n\n\n\nWe’re meeting to discuss our thoughts on the first chapter 
 of the book „80\,000 Hours“\, which explores what actually makes a job
  satisfying\, according to research.\n\nIf you want\, prepare your respons
 es to these questions:\n1. Rate two career options you’re interested in 
 from 1-5 on the five factors:\n◦ Engaging work\n◦ Work that helps othe
 rs\n◦ Work you’re good at\n◦ Supportive Colleagues\n◦ Meets your b
 asic needs\n2. Create your own list of the four to eight most important fa
 ctors.\n3. What job would you do if money were no object\, or if you only 
 had ten years left to live?\n(You can still join without this preparation.
