DESCRIPTION:Welcome to our book club\, where we discover what makes a fulfi
 lling and impactful career one chapter at a time. Whether you are a studen
 t or trainee just figuring yourself out\, or a professional looking for so
 mething more meaningful\, let’s think out loud together about our future
  plans! 80\,000 hours is the time you’ll spend working during a typical 
 full-time career\, so we’d better put them to good use. :)\n\nThe book i
 s in English\; we can speak English or German depending on who attends. Yo
 u can buy your own copy or listen to the free audiobook. Each chapter cont
 ains some questions and exercises to help you put the advice into practice
 . Together\, we will discuss how we could apply it to our own lives\, and 
 try to give each other advice when needed. Each meeting only requires havi
 ng read the one chapter we’re discussing – so feel free to join in any
 time!\n\n\n\nWe’re meeting to discuss our thoughts on the third chapter 
 of the book „80\,000 Hours“\, which explores options to help others wi
 thout changing your career.\n\nIf you want\, prepare your responses to the
 se questions:\n1. Could it make sense for you to donate or take the 10% pl
 edge?\n2. Which ideas do you think are most important and neglected?\n3. I
 s there a political campaign you could help on a voluntary basis?\n4. Can 
 you think of a person or organization you think is doing great work?\n(You
